AMD’s Ryzen 5 3600 is a great balance between performance and cost. It’s usually top of any budget build but has plenty of power for most uses. I got it based on Linus Tech Tip’s build
It has 6 Cores and 12 Threads. 35 MB Cache. Max Boost is 4.2 GH.
The Ryzen 5 3600 comes with a Wraith cooler as standard. This is good enough to cope with most situations for this CPU. The cooler also comes with thermal paste already applied, which saves times when building a new system, or replacing a dead fan. Stock AMD CPU coolers are way better than Intel’s poor attempts. AMD’s Wraith will be able to handle gaming, and even a little overclocking.
The only downside, which is true with most AMD CPUs, is that there is no inbuilt GPU. AMDs AGPUs have also crept up in price, so I settled for this and a cheap graphics card (MSI 1030 AERO ITX 2GB OC)… It was all I could find at the time. I almost got scammed on a 1660 super too!
There isn’t much else to say about this processor.
‘s aight.
Please note: the links from My Gear contain Amazon affiliate links. I’m saving up for a new GFX, due to current prices.
