I bought the HyperX Quad Cast microphone a few months ago when it was on offer.

It’s a very solid mic with clear sound. There is an in built pop filter, and it comes with a shock mount. Which is a bonus. The price has just come down as there is a new full RGB version.
The HyperX Quad Cast has 4 polar options:
- bi-directional
- cardioid
- omni-directional
- stereo
Cardiod is the suggested for a solo-streamer or gamer as it will pick up audio from the front and some of the sides. It has a nice feeling gain control on the bottom and a touch sensor button on the top to turn it on or off. It will light up when on, which is a great way to see if it’s actice or not.
HyperX make well built, solid gear and this is no exception. It may not be to everyones tasts, but works well for me. I have only used it for about two months. So how it works over time is also an important thing to consider. I’ll update this in a few more months.
