The RØDE PSA1 is a studio level boom arm that can connect to most mics.
Featured of the PSA one are: high quality metal for a solid feel, internal springs for silent movement, and both two mounting options and two connection sizes.
It’s a very robust and flexible piece of hardware. Professional equipment is a bit more expensive than budget level gear, but it’s well worth it in my opinion. It has 360 degree movement, almost silent operation, and just feels solid.The springs are quiet and sturdy enough to take a fair bit of abuse.
The only down side I’ve encountered is the clamp. The bottom part could use some fabric to help stop it marking where you place it. It’s bare metal, so can mark wood or other metal surfaces. It’s a very small issue and easily fixed with a piece of scrap paper or cloth.
The company are well known and respected. The equipment is designed to last years, and it’s built to a decent standard. If you’re after a mid-level mic boom arm that will last for years, I’d recommend the RØDE PSA1.
